The Pocket Litter in Ukraine

A trench is the worst place to move a casualty. It is narrow, it turns, it is lined with timber and the only way out is along it. These photos show teams in Ukraine using the Pocket Litter to move casualties through exactly that.

Moving a casualty down a trench

In a trench there is no room for a team carry and no room to turn a rigid litter. One rescuer at the head end drags while a second guides the feet. The stiffeners keep the casualty's spine supported the whole way.

Tested first

Load tested to 400 lb

Before a litter goes anywhere near a trench, it has to hold the weight. The Pocket Litter is load tested to 400 lb, which covers a large casualty in plate carrier, helmet and pack.
