Acceptance of Terms of Use Agreement
This Agreement is an electronic contract that establishes the legally binding terms you must accept to use the Service. By accessing or using the Service, you accept this Agreement and agree to the terms, conditions and notices contained or referenced herein and consent to have this Agreement and all notices provided to you in electronic form. To receive a non-electronic copy of this Agreement, please contact us at otis@pocketlitter.us. This Agreement may be modified by Pocket Litter from time to time, such modifications to be effective upon posting in the Service.
Eligibility
No part of Pocket Litter is directed to persons under the age of 13. You must be at least 13 years of age to access and use the Service. By accessing and using the Service, you represent and warrant that you have the right, authority and capacity to enter into this Agreement. If you use the Service from outside of the United States, you are responsible for complying with the laws and regulations of the territory from which you access or use the Service.
Orders and Payment
Direct orders of the Pocket Litter are placed through our secure checkout, processed by Stripe, or confirmed and invoiced by us. We do not see or store your full card number. Prices are in U.S. dollars and include shipping within the continental United States. Government purchase orders, Government Purchase Card payments and federal tax-exempt orders (with a valid exemption) are accepted. Purchases from an authorized reseller are governed by that reseller’s terms. Placing an order is an offer to buy; we may decline or cancel an order, for example if a product is unavailable or a price was listed in error, in which case any payment is refunded. Shipping, return and limited warranty terms are set out on our Shipping, Returns and Warranty page and are part of these Terms. Quantity, agency and purchase order sales may be made on separate written terms.
Product Use and Safety
The Pocket Litter is an emergency extraction aid designed to help trained responders move a casualty a short distance from the point of injury to a safer location where a full litter, a vehicle or medical personnel can take over. It is not a self-rescue device, not a replacement for a full litter, and not rated for technical rope, high-angle or vertical rescue. Casualty movement carries a risk of further injury to the casualty and to rescuers. Use the product only within its stated specifications, inspect it before each use, retire it if it is damaged, and get hands-on training in casualty movement before relying on it. Nothing on this site is medical advice or a substitute for medical training, medical care or a professional rescue.
